How the Process Works

 
Get to know the full process before you get started! Read through this quick info sheet, and once you’ve made your decision, sign up for a membership and we’ll get you out a complete info pack overnight.

Sign Up

Complete a short, online application, provide a valid Visa, Mastercard or American Express (sorry, no PayPal or Discover), and we’ll review your submission for approval. Within just a few short days you’ll be approved and have unlimited access to our network of parents who are just as eager to barter for the future as you are.

Make an Offer

Create a profile for your child and explain the child you’d like in trade. Be sure to read through our trading help center, since this is a very important and sometimes irreversible transaction. Browse through as many galleries as you like, perform advanced searches by age, gender, medical history and any keywords you like. Add as many as you want to your shopping cart and start making offers.

Haggle

You have 48-hours to accept an offer on your child. If you don’t respond, the bid will be automatically rejected. You are free to make counter offers. You can make a counter offer, such as requesting an additional child, excluding a child, or asking for cash in trade.

Full Disclosure

Once the offer is accepted all around, you’re on to the next step: full disclosure. Here is where both parties receive detailed background information on their prospective son or daughter. You will be expected to reveal everything down to colds, flus, broken bones, and blood borne pathogenic infections, even if they seemed minor at the time.

Meet at Our Camp (optional)

If both parties sign off on the disclosure, you can elect to meet your child. While this isn’t required, we do recommend it. In order to establish the safest, most engaging environment for introduction, we encourage you to come to our ranch for three days and two nights of fun, interactive games. There isn’t much to know about your future child you can’t learn at the ranch. Many parents opt out of this step due to cost considerations, but special discounts are regularly emailed to members to help make it as affordable as possible.

Schedule Delivery or Pickup

If you come to our ranch, you can choose to take delivery on the spot, or schedule a convenient time for your ready-made bundle of joy to be delivered. It is discouraged to send children cross country on Greyhound or Amtrak unaccompanied below the age of 13, but it is ultimately your decision.

3-Day Right of Rescission

From the date of delivery, either party has three business days (72-hours, excluding Sundays and holidays) during which time they may rescind the transaction. This guarantees the most agreeable trade between all parties and has resulted in a sharp drop in complaints since we began the policy in 2001.
